Aaron Vince
Aaron began his aviation career in 1995 as an aerial applicator and has since developed extensive experience in aerial firefighting operations. He obtained certification as a Single Engine Air Tanker (SEAT) pilot in 2008 and later qualified as a scooper pilot. Over the course of nearly three decades, Aaron has accumulated more than 12,000 total flight hours, including over 2,300 hours in wildfire suppression operations.
Aaron joined Fletcher Flying Service in 2010 and was promoted to Chief Pilot in 2020. In this role, he provides operational leadership and oversight of all flight personnel, with a strong emphasis on training, standardization, and mission predictability. His leadership approach fosters consistency and discipline across operations, directly supporting safe and effective mission execution.
Aaron is a Certified Flight Instructor, an Office of Aviation Services (OAS)-carded Pilot Trainer, and an Air Tractor Authorized Instructor. In recognition of his experience and reputation within the industry, he was invited to be an instructor at the National Aerial Firefighting Academy (NAFA) in 2023 and advanced to Cadre status in 2025.
He maintains a strong focus on crew engagement and support, recognizing that consistent communication is critical to operational success. His leadership reinforces a culture of professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement across the organization.
