Coastal Air Strike Crews Ready in Minnesota
With recent elevated wildfire risk in Minnesota, aerial firefighting crews from Coastal Air Strike have been stationed at the Brainerd Air Tanker base.
Coastal Air Strike Pilots Aaron Vince and Colby Smith discuss their Single Engine Scooper (SES) aircraft’s capabilities to protect Minnesota during the spring fire season with the Brainerd Dispatch. In total, Coastal Air Strike has four SES stationed in Minnesota, as these aircraft were selected by the Department of Natural Resources to support ground crews in their efforts to keep wildfires at bay.
